DESCRIPTION:This year\, our study day will be a joint event with the Silver Society. \nWe are fortunate to have three acclaimed experts to talk to us about the history of tea\, coffee and chocolate drinking\, and the influence it had on ceramics and silver shapes. \nThe talks will also provide an insight into the cultural and social significance of hot drink consumption through the 17th and 18th centuries and how the designs of ceramics and silverware influenced each other. \nIvan Day\, an authority and lecturer on historic food. \nClare Durham\, a ceramics expert and valuer. \nTim Schroder\, a silver expert with close association to the Ashmolean\, \n  \n
